We all three went out to breakfast. They live in an area known as "City Center",
and simply everything is within walking distance. Saw much influence
of fetish and dj culture. Endless posters for parties and nightlife. Not a lot
of apparent live music, though.
The restaurant we visited was perfectly familiar and normal. This shall be
a recurring theme. The only slight oddity was that a coffee with cream was
called a "flat white".
After that, I set out to explore the city. It was before noon, and I figured I'd
better get out and wander til a decent bed time if I was going to get onto the
local sleep schedule. Hyde park had the lovely "ANZAC War Memorial", to celebrate
the loss of some 8000 men in the first engagement involving Australian soldiers.
