Pablo

Pablo

A gentleman who was mildly acquainted with Pablo Picasso
ran into him at the cafe', and mentioned that he had
acquired one of Pablo's works. "Oh, which one?" He tells
him. "Oh, yes, I know that one... it is a fake!"
The art patron is distressed.

The patron manages to purchase another one at an auction,
where Pablo is watching. "There, now I have one of your
works." "No, my friend, I could not stand to tell them,
but this one is a fake, too."

Finally, the patron corners Pablo in his studio, and
buys one from the artist directly, the paint still wet.
"At last!" the patron exclaims. Pablo says, "But don't
you understand? Most of my works are fakes."
