Little Things
It was great to be elsewhere. There's the big things (made of stone, for example) in a trip... but then there's thousands of tiny` observations, experiences that are immediately forgotten. The way streets curve differently, men murmur instead of bark, electric outlets each have individual switches on them, the curiously respectful conversations I overheard between children and parents (and such good vocabularies, too).
Those details are the real reason I travel.
